Moch. Amrun Hidayat received his M.Farm. (2009), and S.Si. (2000) from Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University, Indonesia, He also completed his professional degree, Apt. (2001) from the same institution. He started his career as lecturer assistant at Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science & Technology, University of Jember in 2001-2002. He was appointed as lecturer (full position) at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Jember in 2003-current.

He has joined collaborative research between Faculty of Science & Technology, National University of Malaysia (UKM) and Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Jember in October, 2011. He has developed his laboratory skills in the field of antioxidant assay under supervision of Dr. Khalid Hamid Musa and Prof. Aminah Abdullah.

He has pursued his Doctoral degree in Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University, Indonesia under supervision of Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Moch. Yuwono Apt. and Prof. Bambang Kuswandi, PhD. from 2014-current. His current research is developing optical chemical sensor, biosensor, and sensor arrays for polyphenols.
